The North Carolina Poultry Resource and Education Program (NC PREP) is a voluntary program with the mission of providing educational information to all North Carolina backyard flock owners to improve disease prevention, flock health, and human safety.

The North Carolina Poultry Resource and Education Program (NC PREP) is a voluntary program with the mission of providing educational information to all North Carolina backyard flock owners to improve disease prevention, flock health, and human safety. There are three participation levels you can be involved in as a member of NC PREP. Each level offers benefits based on the information provided when registering with the program.


 



Level 1: By providing an email address, you will receive:

  • Monthly NC PREP newsletters containing information on important poultry diseases and strategies to keep your flock healthy

  • Access to a list of veterinarians who see backyard poultry and can provide help should your flock become sick

  • Basic alerts of critical poultry diseases detected in NC



Level 2: By providing an email address and zip code, you will receive:

  • Monthly NC PREP newsletters

  • Access to a list of veterinarians who see backyard poultry

  • Basic alerts of critical poultry diseases detected in NC

  • Proximity alerts of contagious poultry diseases detected in your specific zip code


Level 3: By providing an email address and full mailing address, you will receive:

  • Monthly NC PREP newsletters

  • Access to a list of veterinarians who see backyard poultry

  • Basic alerts of critical poultry diseases detected in NC

  • Proximity alerts of contagious poultry diseases detected within 1 and 5 miles of your address
